- NFS Region 8, Fire Force 22 area HQ, covering North Wales. After the war the Belvedere Hotel became the Headquarters of the newly established Denbighshire & Montgomeryshire joint fire service until a new premises was located at Llety’r Dryw Hall in Old Colwyn in 1958 and became the headquarters of the New County of Clwyd Fire Service until 1987 and subsequently is now a training school for North Wales Police
