- work on Long Ashton Fire Station had been completed at a cost of £101 [doe this indicate a different location to the one referred to in 1913 - see below]

The Wells Journal , 10th October 1913
- fire engine belonging to the North Somerset Volunteer Fire Brigade (Long Ashton) attracted considerable attention in the city (Wells) [Long Ashton FB also known as North Somerset Vol FB?]

John Murray
- Long Ashton RDC provided 2 Bedford appliances as result of the 1938 Fire Brigades Act - EYC621 and EYD667. One at Clist & Rattle garage, Long Ashton, one at council offices, Cambridge Batch, Flax Bourton. NFS shut Clist & Rattle at some point so when Somerset FB took over in 1948, Cambridge Batch covered Long Ashton RDC area. Flax Bourton station closed 1952
- gives history of Clist & Rattle Garage, but it appears to have ben at Cambridge Batch, not on Long Ashton…
