- WW2 sub stations at Aldwick Road, the near by villages of Felpham, Middleton and North Bersted.
Barrie Lambeth: UK Fire Brigade History FB group
- The Aldwick sub station was at the garage opposite the Ship Public House, both of which are still there; a back room at the Ship was used as the office/rec room. Felpham was Turret House which still stands. The 1899 Station in High Street was another and there was one at Rookery Farm in North Bersted. The last one is at Pagham, which I was told by a member of the Pagham Home Guard was between the Bear Public House and the garage
Rough plot. Rookery Farm no longer exists as a farm, but farmhouse may still be there surrounded by other buildings |
