- CANTERBURY VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE (Formed in 1867? 1807?) - 1882, Headquarters, 32 St. George street; engine house, White Horse Lane. The engine is a Merryweather "Paxton" manual, & was, with all necessary appliances, supplied to the Brigade by the directors of the County Fire Office.
